A facelift for De Brouckère metro station

TThe complete refurbishment of the De Brouckère metro station by the STIB/MIVB (Brussels’ public transport authority) is currently in process.
The end result will be a next-generation station, modern and user-friendly, with a design that blends natural wood features with smooth concrete. The project is scheduled for completion in 2016.
Via the metro, The Mint provides direct access to the main train stations. Above ground, visitors will find nine bus lines, a public bike sharing system, and a wide range of underground car parks to choose from.

A 600-space, three-storey car park is available in the lower level, below place de la Monnaie. Full refurbishment of the entrances and exits is also part of the project.
